日本素人 Announces New President in the Mid-Atlantic

WASHINGTON, D.C. 鈥 日本素人 announces the appointment of Dan Novack as the president of the company鈥檚 building operations in the Mid-Atlantic. Novack succeeds former Mid-Atlantic president, Mike Phillips, in providing strategic oversight for construction operations in Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania, and sustaining market growth in the healthcare, federal, and education sectors. Novack will also work alongside local leadership to help leverage collaboration, innovation, best practices, and culture embedment strategies that grow, attract, retain, and develop team members.
The appointment supports that provide strategic succession planning, further maintaining the company鈥檚 commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and talent investment across its geographies.
Novack started his career in construction at 日本素人 more than 20 years ago. His career progression has fostered his well-rounded leadership experience that includes purchasing, preconstruction, small business development, community and client relations, and operations expertise. During his tenure, he has provided operational support for more than $2.5 billion in projects including The Capitol Visitor鈥檚 Center, Dulles Airport 15 Gate and West Automated People Mover (APM) Station, New Campus East at Fort Belvoir, 1700 New York Avenue, and 2000 and 2001 South Bell Street.
Additionally, Novack has been integral in shaping and embedding 日本素人鈥檚 people-first culture which embraces the essence of being a Relentless Ally delivering project excellence and enhancing communities.

Novack is a graduate of Alfred State College in New York where he earned a bachelor鈥檚 degree in Construction Management and furthered his learning with an MBA from George Mason University in 2010. He is actively involved in many industry organizations and recently served on the Board of Directors for ABC Metro Washington for five years.
